Obituary of Agnes Fisher

Passed away peacefully at Toronto Grace Health Centre on February 28, 2012 at the age of 88. Born in Strathroy, Ontario, Daughter of Eliza McLauchlan (1976) and Clement Fisher (1979). Dear sister of Clement and Gladys (2009) Fisher, of Kingsville, aunt of Pam Fisher (Chris Thorpe) and Pat McLaughlin (Terry). Great-aunt to Carolyn, Tristan and Eva. Agnes graduated from Strathroy Collegiate in 1940, and the University of Western Ontario in 1944. She worked in Germany as a translator for the British Foreign Office after the war. She was a teacher at Northern Secondary School in Toronto for many years. Agnes was a founding member of Ryerson University ACT II STUDIO which became her theatre home for 21 years and where she truly enjoyed the friendship of many. A time of visiting will take place Monday, March 5, 11 a.m. at Denning Brothers Funeral Home, Strathroy, followed by funeral service at 12 noon. Internment Strathroy Cemetery.
