Catherine May Montgomery

Peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Catherine Montgomery passed away at the age of 79. Catherine is survived by her nephew Jim (Barb) Stewart and niece Kathy-Joh (Ryan) Hazzard, and great nieces Eve, Audrey, Fynn and Maisie. Predeceased by her husband Jack (1971), parents Gordon (2005) and Anne (2012) Stewart, and her brother Ted (2013) and his wife Evelyn (1997) Stewart.

Catherine was born and raised in Ailsa Craig, Ontario. She lived for 3 years in Lahr, Germany with her husband, Jack. Catherine then lived and taught in Toronto for 30 years moving home to Ailsa Craig at her retirement. Catherine loved horses, her cat Sammy, and a good Gin Martini. She was involved in the church at Beechwood and routinely made donations to the Cancer Society, Nairn cemetery and her church.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 31, 2023, from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG. Interment to follow at Nairn Cemetery.
