Dear Stan, Sheila, & Vanessa,
What a beautiful celebration of life. I was able to stream live with no technical issues - so despite the ocean, I felt I was with you yesterday. Thank you for holding space for us to celebrate Lesley.
For some reason, I keep remembering a day at the farm when our family arrived for dinner and she noticed a rash on my shoulder. Within minutes, she was rummaging around in the medicine cabinet and smearing prescription cortisone on me. She was a generous nurturer, always ready with a smile or reassuring word of support.
She was part of so many happy memories in a kitchen or on a sunny deck somewhere, chopping/eating/smoking a great cut of meat. Somehow, I know she will always be with us, for every bonfire and great meal to come.
Sending love + long hugs,
Lindsay & the Kellar-Parsons/Madsen families

Stan, Sheila, Vanessa and families, our sincere condolences at this most difficult time. We were saddened to hear of Lesley's passing. For nearly thirty years, we enjoyed knowing Stan and Lesley. There was never once that we saw Lesley without her contagious smile and laugh. She was such a wonderful person who found it so incredibly easy to welcome everyone and make them comfortable. She and Stan hosted many memorable parties and filled their homes with love and laughter. Lesley will be surely missed. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. RIP dear friend.

Dear Stan, Vanessa, Sheila and family. We are thinking of you all during this time. We are truly grateful that we had the opportunity to spend time with your Mom/wife she was a lovely person. We have fond memories of Leslie. We enjoyed our chats and peaceful moments when she and Stan would visit us at our home in Pinery Bluffs. We could see they both loved the beautiful place they had created for others to live in. We feel blessed to be living in the place they envisioned. We miss her deeply. Love Julie and Michael

Lesley brought warmth and laughter to all our Pinery Bluffs gatherings. One particularly cherished memory is from a summer afternoon when Lesley and Stan joined Ann and me at the Pinery Park beach. Lesley prepared an incredible picnic lunch—worthy of a Michelin Star—that made the day even more special. The joy and kindness she shared that afternoon will always hold a special place in our hearts. Lesley was truly a kind-hearted soul and will be deeply missed.

Lesley was one of our best friends for over 50 years, since our days in Montreal where we grew up. Her friendship was as constant as her smile. She always had a warm welcome (with food) to friends, family and strangers alike. People responded in kind and there was always a steady stream of folks driving down the long driveway to their farm. Lesley was quick to compliment and was a natural helper and encourager; hence a nurse from the beginning wherever she found herself. We will miss her greatly but now she has her wings!

To Stan and Family,
Please accept our Deepest Sympathy in your loss. I remember our times together at Sue's ejoying fun antics each time we gathered. I also remember Lesley from when my Mum was in Chateau Gardens and was always frightened when the girls got her up. Lesley asked her what they could do to make it easier and she found out that they moved too quickly and made Mum frightened. From then on after Lesley's suggestion, she never had any issues when they were getting her up. Thank you Lesley for that. It meant a great deal to Mum and to us.
Treasure your many memories of her and hold them close to your hearts where she will always remain and remember that LOVE never dies.
RIP Lesley.
Sincerely,
Edward and Linda Fox
