Obituary of William Stephenson

Peacefully in the loving care of his family, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Tuesday, October 5, 2004, William Peter (Bill) Stephenson, in his 80th year. Cherished husband of Jean, the love of his life and soul mate for 56 years. Beloved father of Marsha and John Davidson, Yvonne and Rolly Rollason, Keith and Sue Stephenson, Jeannie and Stephen Smith, Kathy and Jody Hull, Janice and Alan Merrick, Jim and Joanne Stephenson and Don Stephenson. Dearly loved and proud Grandad of Sarah Davidson, Steven Rollason, Carrie Ann and Phil Schnurr, Michael and Gregory Stephenson, Aaron and Brittany Smith, Sheri and Andrea Hull, Carl and Alison Merrick, Lee and Ryan Stephenson and Kaitlyn Stephenson. Survived by sister Betty (and Lloyd) Plaine. Predeceased by parents James Levi (1966) and Myrtle Mary Stephenson (1958) and siblings Walter Edward Stephenson (1933) and Irene McBain Kennings (2001). Dearly remembered by nephew Ken Mesing for his fatherly love, Bill will be missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew him. Friends will be received on Friday, October 8th from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, Ontario, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Gibb officiating. Interment will be held at the Strathroy Cemetery following the service. In acknowledgement of their help as Jean cared for Bill at home and with sincere gratitude for the wonderful care he received in the hospital, the family would truly appreciate donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital through the SMGH Auxiliary and to the VON Palliative Care Program.
