Obituary of Madalene Branan
Madalene Branan, in her 85th year, passed away peacefully at Country Terrace (Komoka) on September 24, 2013. Much loved wife of Donald Branan of Strathroy and sister-in-law of Lucy VanBelois of Strathroy. Daughter of the late Gordon and Myrtle (Noyes) Grundy. Dear Mother of Mary (Jim) Fink of Delaware, Robert (Debbie) Branan of Barrie, Paul (Elisa) Branan of Kitchener. Predeceased by infant son Thomas Michael Branan; brothers Edwin Grundy, Bill Grundy, Bruce Grundy & Robert Grundy; sisters Esther Oldridge, Donna Webster, & Betty (Arrand) Hooper. Survived by two brothers, Rae (Nancy) Grundy & Allan (Marg) Grundy & three sisters, Stella (Les) Shiel, Leona Oldridge & Gloria (Wayne) Topping, & many nieces, nephews and cousins. Much loved grandmother of David (Trisha) Fink, Jennifer (Greg) Walker-Black. Michelle (Duane) Mercer, Krista (Mark) Smerdon, Julie (Nick) Leigh, Zachary, Jessica-Joy, Katie-Lynn, & Anne-Elise Branan. Great-grandmother of Ryann & Kenzie Fink, Nolan, Madalyn, Quinton, Michaela Walker & Liam Black, Hope & Micaela Mercer, Payton & Madisyn Leigh. Visitation will be at Denning Brother's Funeral Home 32 Metcalfe Street W. in Strathroy on Thursday, September 26 from 2-4p.m and 7-9p.m. Service to celebrate Madalene's life and "eternal home-going" will be held at Bethel Baptist Church (264 Princess Street, Strathroy), on Friday, September 27th at 11a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario or charity of your choice
