Obituary of Ernest McEwen

Peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at London Health Sciences Centre - University Campus Ernest Leslie McEwen of Strathroy passed away at the age of 79. Loving husband of Eileen McEwen (nee Thompson). Beloved father of Karen (Wayne) Dixon, Kathy (Lawrence) Zavitz and Mary McEwen. Dear grandfather of Sarah Dixon and Melissa Zavitz. Sadly missed by his brother Arthur McEwen and sister-in-law Winnafred McEwen. Predeceased by brother Douglas McEwen and sister-in-law Donna McEwen. Also survived by sister-in-laws Helen Clark and Audrey Thompson. Predeceased by brother-in-laws Alex Thompson, Albert Thompson, Merlin Clark, Lloyd Mitchell and sister-in-law Ella Thompson. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy where a funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd at 2:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Brian McKenzie officiating. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Strathroy First Baptist Church, Barbershop Harmony Society or The Lung Association.
